SMYL (Southern Muslim Young Ladies)

Members of SMYL gather twice every school term to do or plan fun activities or events. Our administrator Apa Safoora Bhyat started SMYL in 2010. In that year SMYL hosted an Old Ladies Tea, Don the Hijaab Campaign, collected blankets for charity and had a luncheon for an orphanage and presented them with gifts donated by the community. In Ramadhaan members attended Tafseer every Saturday taught by Apa Safoora. SMYL members also get together just to relax and get to know each other- like our hike and picnic at Kliprivier. SMYL welcomes new members to attend our termly meetings, share ideas and make new friends.
