Fizzkidz

It was on a cold winter’s day in June 1999 in a converted garage that sisters, Ayesha Ally and Zaheera Mahomed conceptualised Fizzkidz, a fledgling company run by two mothers with loads of talent, dreams and kids.
According to the sisters, the ‘Fizz’ part of ‘Fizzkidz’ is an acronym of the first letters of the names of their kids at the time of establishment of the business.

Today Fizzkidz has become a definitive and competitive brand in the kiddies’ exclusive sleepwear market, with over 10,000 sets of PJ’s enhancing the slumber of as many kids in South Africa. With 4 ranges comprising 4 to 6 styles catering for children between 1 and 13 years of age, Fizzkidz were forced, in the year 2000, to abandon their home factory and outsource to a CMT factory as a result of burgeoning demand.
With the expantion of fizzkidz we have also intruduce ladies limited ed seasonal range .

Fizzkidz PJ’s combine beautiful fabrics with a classic style. Ayesha, fashion designer with in excess of 20 years of experience in the clothing industry, is imbued with the task of bringing the Fizzkidz range to life. She adds, “Being passionate about the use of pure fabrics like cottons and flannels in kiddies sleepwear, I believe that there should be a balance between mothers desire to show off the kids in trendy apparel and kids desire to be comfortable and free to play.”
Fizzkidz PJ’s not only grace our beds, but as Zaheera, in charge of business and marketing says, “Our definitive stamp is that our PJ’s are really cool, pretty and trendy, so that the kids are comfy to wear them out to the local restaurant or friends. It’s actually a very practical approach, as you can go out in the evening with the kids and put them straight to bed when you return home.”

Since inception Fizzkidz has been creating handmade kiddies PJ’s with fine attention to detail. Fizzkidz sleepwear is colourful and richly textured, their stories are Afro-European fairytales and their dream is to capture some magical rhythm for every child that goes to bed wearing an original Fizzkidz creation.

Fizzkidz, in the past 15 years of its existence has grown from strength to strength on a successful business formula… from the drawing board to the realization of a dream.
